Grace Rosher, accidently discovered that she could do automatic writing, after her fiancé died. Her gift accidently made itself manifest as she was writing a letter. She had paused while thinking of what to write next, with a pen lying lightly on her hand. Suddenly the pen began moving by itself! Imagine her surprise when she recognized the handwriting was that of her dead fiancé Gordon Burdick.

in 1961 Grace Rosher published a book entited: Beyond the Horizon about her experiences. It contains the communication from Gordon Burdick, through automatic writing. Gordon describes in detail what his life is like in the Spirit World.

In 1968 Grace Rosher's second book: The Travellers' Return was published.
