The Christmas season has begun. People are scrambling to accomplish an endless list of tasks before Christmas day arrives. They are scrambling to buy their presents at bargain prices, writing and mailing their Christmas cards and letters, decorating their houses with Christmas trees and holiday lights, and baking their holiday treats. Then their houses must be cleaned, and finally a feast of food must be purchased, and cooked.
Many people are dismayed at all this activity, and claim that most people are not focused on the true meaning of the holiday. They want to “Put Christ Back in Christmas” or say that “Jesus is the Reason for the Season.” Personally, I feel these attitudes also miss the point. I think it is time to “return Jesus’ Teachings to Christianity."
